We follow both the government and the industry protocols. Our cleaning protocols have enabled us to be accepted as being Covid secure by the AA and Visit England. for this reason we have to ask you to come later and leave earlier than we would normally as the cleaning takes more time.

Under normal conditions, we do not refund after 6 weeks’ prior to arrival unless we relet. However, under current circumstances we will refund up to 2 days prior to arrival assuming you have a coiled related problem or the Government is not permitting travell. For any other reasons we highly recommend you take out travel insurance and check the wording.

Much as we love them, sorry no pets.
Of course we welcome them and self catering is ideal for families. But toddlers come entirely at your responsibility as the stairs on Brooks’ View and Fishermen’s Retreat are steep and the river is deep and not fenced. Under current circumstances please bring your own baby equipment.
The nearest one is Bristol… which is 19 miles away ( 42 minutes). If you go cross country takes just over 30!
Bath Spa. Easiest to take a quick taxi drive if you have luggage. Between 5 and 10 minutes’ depending on the traffic to Hedgemead Court . Taxis are immediately outside the station.
Abbey Taxis supply most of the taxis – +44 (0)7762 191161. Worth ringing in advance of arrival – saves queuing at the station. Uber also operate in the city.
The two Internet cafes opposite the station offer left luggage facilities. Well worth using if you arrive early.
Plenty of free parking at the cottages.
Portishead is very popular as is Weston Super `Mare. The South Coast is an easy journey for a day out. But plenty to amuse children in the area.
Broadband is fast and free throughout the cottages.
Flatscreen TV in the sitting room in each property with Free sat for extra streaming. There are books in the cottages…but if you read them please leave on the floor for sanitisation or take them away..I have plenty more.
Egyptian cotton linen, fluffy towels etc are included. Unfortunately we cannot provide the normal welcome pack due to Covid restrictions.
This is not permitted on the premises.
The nearest is the delicatessen and Co-op in Combe Down…just up the Midford hill and there is a Tesco Express and a Sainsbury’s Supermarket. About 10 minutes by car. Best to buy food before you arrive.
Taxis are outside. If you are early, I recommend you pop your luggage into the left luggage cafes opposite the station. Takes about 12 minutes by car to Tucking Mill.
There are frequent bus services stopping at the Hope and Anchor in Midford 15 minutes’ walk away. There is an hourly service going to Monkton Combe 15 minutes’ walk away.
